At KAMALE, we know how annoying it can be to stand in a store researching all the ingredients in a product. So, we made a simple, complete and transparent list of all the ingredients that made the cut for our delicate products and why.

arrowroot powder

With a high nutrient profile, arrowroot is great at absorbing excess moisture and toxins and also soothes inflamed skin.

candelilla wax

This plant-derived wax is very multi-functional. It is rich in nutrients, absorbs easily and has the capability to improve the appearance of skin. We also use candelilla wax to thicken and minimize the effects of temperature on our oil-based products.

cerasee

In Jamaica, cerasee (also known as bitter melon, karela, asosi) is known as a cure-all herb and has traditionally been used to treat several skin problems such as rashes.

jojoba oil

Jojoba oil is actually a liquid wax ester. This "oil" is loaded with Vitamin E and is the closest match to the natural oils in our skin. Jojoba oil absorbs easily and is great for moisturizing and healing the skin.

lemongrass

The extract of this long-stemmed plant contains antioxidant, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties.

moringa

Moringa is known for its antioxidant, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. It is also known for its ability to help form a protective barrier on the skin.

olive oil

Loaded with antioxidants, vitamins and healthy fats, olive oil helps to lock moisture into skin.

(This oil worked wonders for Kahris' son when he was born with dry, cracked skin.)

vegetable glycerin

This plant-derived humectant and emollient is a gold standard ingredient in skincare. Vegetable glycerin is great at drawing moisture to the skin and relieving dryness.

vitamin e

Vitamin E is a powerful antioxidant used to protect the skin and also  to extend the shelf life of natural oils.
